I have been a Prince fan since “I Want To Be Your Lover” debuted. Initially, I just liked the music, but when I was able to understand the genius behind the man, I was thoroughly impressed. 1st album, all instruments and vocals, Prince!
I was able to capture these images during his Purple Rain tour in 1984.
My 9th-grade history teacher is the mother of one of the NPG horns musicians (Lynn Grissett).
My hope was all-access credentials to capture his show, but as things worked out, these few images, captured on slide film and scanned to digital are what I could get.
